My kids love tuna sandwiches, but I worry about mercury in the fish. I've read on line and it seems that tuna in moderation is okay. What do you all think?
I think that almost all things are okay in moderation. I try to live by the pregnant rule. If you can't have it when you are pregnant, why why would you want it when you are not? My doctor said that tuna was alright once in a while, just not all the time. Once a month with tuna wont hurt them at all.
I think the same thing....every once and a while is ok, like once or twice a month. Besides, it's nice to have the variety I'd hate to totally abandon its benefits.
I have had the same quandry. We eat it about once a month (I would probably eat it twice a week if we could!). From what I understand the white tuna is the highest in mercury, so we eat light.
